Beautiful spa with large facilities and huge thermal baths. Busy with families on a cold rainy The facilities are amazing, don't miss out on the Roman-Irish ritual.
By paying the basic rate I just went this morning , I reached there about 11, very easy to get to with public transport so I am glad I didn't take my car as I hate driving to zurich and parking so in fact much more relaxing when u take the public transport because tram 13 stops near the spa area then u will have to walk like 2 or 3 min. I was welcomed well , the staff are friendly and explained everything, the entry price is reasonable compared to other places in switzerland.
I liked the architecture , it is clean and cozy, yes the irish part is very nice I wonder why it is called that way!!! Amazing view of the whole of Zurich while relaxing in the thermal bath. I would go back again just for that! A real must-visit! To lie on top of this building and look at the surrounding Zurich "skyline" never gets old. I'll definitely go again on a snowy day, I imagine it to be very romantic!
Nevertheless I would never deduct a point for that but sometimes the mood can get somewhat flirty on that roof - at one point I remember we were surrounded by smooching and grinding people. If you are bothered by that you should best go early in the morning when there are less people. Also note there is no entry fee for small children, so be prepared to have a couple of them squirming around.
We didn't let this bother us, though - after all it is a great, affordable activity and those are rare in Zurich. The facilities were very nice, loved the dramatic entryway to the locker rooms and the vaulted ceilings in the bath. I did the Irish-Roman bath on a Tuesday so it was ladies only. Not too crowded so a good day to go. Very relaxing to float in the pools and sit in the saunas. The only thing that would have made the experience better was if the signs had been in English as well as German.
