Ok so there is a brothel across the street and there are street prostitutes outside day and night, but overall this was a nice hotel. I had a problem with the floor outside my bathroom, and they let me switch rooms the following morning. Unfortunately, the TV in the new room wasn't working, and they weren't able to fix it until the following Monday, but they were there first thing that morning to fix it.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. I did not stay in the main part of the hotel. I stayed in adjoining building around the corner that had keypad entry on the front door. It has a tiny elevator as well so you don't have to lug your luggage up and down the steps. This place isn't the Marriott, so don't expect that when you get there. The hotel itself was very clean, had new modern furnishings, staff was very helpful and friendly. I will admit that the location may have been a bit intimidating with prostitutes lined up along the opposite side of the street, but they don't bother you.
I traveled with three of my girlfriends and we always stuck together because in order to get to the nearest underground metro you must travel along the same street as many of these prostitutes.
If I do another Euro trip and need to travel cheap, I most likely will book a room here again. It was scary because I had my teenaged daughter with me and my husband, but funny because we got there late at night and the hookers were in full force. After being in the cool night air, we opened the window for some fresh air and listened to the clickety-clack of prostitute hooves all night long.
For the life of us, we could NOT find this place without help from another hotel. The room was clean but we did notice the phone was not connected to anything I stayed at this hotel last night on business. I read the reviews so I knew we would be in the red-light district. We arrived and they shuttled us off to another building giving us only a code and the address. The building turned out to be around the corner and we dodged a few hookers on the way.
